"Jeff responded to our call very quickly and came right over when our heat was out on 3 bedrooms in -15 temp.
He got right to work to determine the problem. It turned out to be a wiring and hardware combination by our previous electrician. It was quite complicated as nothing was labelled in the attic so each room was worked by deduction and rewired. The faulty connection was found and Jeff tested everything.
He is also super easy to get along with and professional. We will call him from now on. We have already referred him to our carpenter who was here at the time and was impressed by his work too. Great job Jeff!"

Electrical Installation in Moncton — New & Renovations
SERVICE 01
From new home builds to additions and full home rewires, we handle every kind of residential electrical installation across Moncton, Dieppe, Riverview and Shediac. Every install is permitted, inspected, and built to current New Brunswick electrical code.

Whether you're building from foundation or upgrading wiring behind a 1965 wall, our Red Seal certified electricians know what your home needs — and what it doesn't.
A new home install typically takes 3-5 days. A full rewire of an existing home takes 5-10 days depending on size and access.
How long does a typical home installation take?
Yes. Every installation we do includes the electrical permit and the post-work inspection. You don't have to deal with the paperwork.
Does Larry Electric handle the permits?
Electrical Wiring in Greater Moncton
SERVICE 02
Wiring for renovations, room additions, basements, and home upgrades. Clean work, fully to code, with no shortcuts behind the walls.
Whether you're finishing a basement, adding a bedroom, or pulling new circuits for an updated kitchen, the wiring is the part you can't see — which is exactly why it has to be done right the first time.
Yes — we work alongside general contractors and renovators across Greater Moncton. We can also lead the electrical scope independently.
Can you work with my contractor?
We use fishing techniques to minimize wall damage wherever possible. When openings are needed, we cut clean and patch — or we coordinate with your drywall finisher.
Will you tear up my walls?
Heating System Installation & Repair
SERVICE 03
When New Brunswick winters hit, the last thing you need is a heating system that fails. We install and repair electric baseboards, in-floor heating, heat pumps, and electric furnaces across Moncton, Dieppe, Riverview and Shediac. Every install is permitted, properly sized for your space, and built to current electrical code.
Â
If your existing system is underperforming — uneven heat between rooms, breakers tripping, or zones that never warm up — we diagnose the cause before quoting the fix. Sometimes it's the system. Often it's the wiring behind it.
Uneven heat usually points to one of three things: a failing thermostat, a baseboard element at the end of its life, or undersized wiring for the load. We test each before recommending replacement.
My baseboards aren't heating evenly.
Yes — we install electric in-floor heating in bathrooms, kitchens, and basements as part of renovations. We coordinate with your flooring contractor on timing.
Can you install in-floor heating in a renovation?
Lighting Installations
SERVICE 04
Under-counter lighting, ceiling fixtures, recessed pots, exterior soffit lights, landscape lighting, and full interior renovation lighting plans. From a single fixture replacement to a whole-home lighting redesign, our electricians handle the wiring, the fixtures, and the finishing.

Lighting is one of the most visible parts of an electrical job — and the part where shortcuts show up first. We use proper boxes, secure mounts, and code-compliant wiring on every install, whether it's one pot light or fifty.
Yes — we install fixtures purchased anywhere, from big-box stores to online specialty suppliers. We'll let you know during the quote if anything you've selected won't work for your space.
Can you install lights I've already bought?
Yes. We install soffit lighting, motion-activated security lights, pathway lighting, and landscape lighting across Greater Moncton. All exterior work is rated for New Brunswick weather.
Along with interior lighting do you install exterior lighting as well?

Tim was amazing. Fast, efficient, left everything the way he found it. Definitely recommend!!

Generator System Installs
SERVICE 05
When the power goes out — and in this part of New Brunswick, it will — a properly installed standby generator keeps your home running. We install whole-home standby generators with automatic transfer switches across Moncton, Dieppe, Riverview and Shediac. When the grid fails, your generator kicks in automatically within seconds.
Â
We handle the electrical side of the install: the transfer switch, the disconnect, the dedicated circuits, and the integration with your existing panel. We work with your generator supplier or recommend one if you're starting from scratch.
Yes. Standby generator installations require an electrical permit in New Brunswick, and depending on the setup, sometimes a gas or propane permit as well if it's fuel-fed. As part of every generator install, we pull the required permits and arrange the inspection, so you don't have to deal with the paperwork.
Do I need a permit for a standby generator?
Either is possible. A whole-home transfer switch powers everything; a manual or partial switch powers only the circuits you choose. We'll walk you through both options during the estimate.
Can my generator run my whole house, or just the essentials?
EV Charging Installation
SERVICE 06
Level 2 home EV charger installation for every major electric vehicle brand: Tesla, Ford, GM, Hyundai, Kia, BMW, Volvo, and others. A Level 2 charger fills your battery roughly four times faster than a standard outlet and is properly wired for the sustained load an EV requires.
Â
We install on dedicated 240V circuits with the correct breaker, conduit, and disconnect. Every install is permitted and inspected. If your panel doesn't have spare capacity, we'll quote a panel upgrade as part of the job.
Most panels installed after 1995 will. Older panels (100-amp service or smaller, fuse panels, or panels already near capacity) often need an upgrade first. We assess this during the free estimate.
Will my existing panel support an EV charger?
A standard Level 2 charger install runs $1,200–$2,500 depending on distance from your panel and whether a panel upgrade is needed. We provide a fixed quote after a free on-site assessment.
What does an EV charger installation cost in Moncton?
Electrical Panels
SERVICE 07
Panel upgrades, full replacements, breaker repairs, and capacity expansions for homes across Greater Moncton. If your panel is more than 25 years old, frequently trips, has a recalled brand (Federal Pioneer Stab-Lok, Zinsco, others), or doesn't have capacity for what your home needs — it's time.
Â
A panel upgrade isn't cosmetic. An undersized or outdated panel is a fire risk, a code issue when you sell, and a permanent ceiling on what you can add to your home (EV charger, hot tub, in-law suite, AC unit). We assess what your home actually needs and quote accordingly.
Common signs: frequent breaker trips, lights dimming when appliances start, no room for new circuits, a fuse panel still in use, or a panel from a recalled brand. If your home is on 100-amp service and you're planning EV charging or major additions, you'll likely need 200-amp.
How do I know if I need a panel upgrade?
A typical 100-to-200-amp panel upgrade takes one full day, during which power to your home is off for 4-6 hours. We coordinate with NB Power on the disconnect/reconnect.
How long does a panel upgrade take?
Electrical Repairs & TroubleshootingÂ
SERVICE 08
Flickering lights, dead outlets, breakers that trip for no reason, a faint burning smell near a switch, lights that dim when the fridge starts — these are the kind of problems most homeowners try to ignore. We find the cause, fix it properly, and explain what was wrong so you understand what we did.
Â
We don't guess. With 67 years of experience across Moncton homes, most of what we see we've seen before. When we don't know yet, we test until we do — and we tell you what it costs before we start.
Usually a loose connection in the panel or a circuit that's slightly undersized for the load. Sometimes it's a sign the panel itself is at the end of its life. We diagnose during the service call.

That's what 67 years in business looks like.
Larry Electric upgraded the service entrance to my home to 200amp. Received a very competitive quote within 24hrs of request. They coordinated upgrade with NB Power and kept me informed of the proposed schedule. Work was carried out extremely professionally by Tim and Jeff. On time and on budget! Can't ask for more. Highly recommended.
